    Hi Folks:hiya,

    My granite kitchen top looks shabby:drowning & form a black layer end of the day after i finish my cooking stuff.

    Please provide me with useful tips to clean it & maintain it:coffee

    I use ciff or mr muscle to clean the gas top and granite slab.. it looks shiny always... Try once..

    use any liquid soap daily after cooking .come out neat.i maintain that way only

    HI! I have a granite kitchen top too! I normally use the Scotch Brite wipes (they are thin, yellow or pink square shaped wipes) that absorb water well! I dip the wipe in soap water and then wipe the platform after cooking...it makes the kitchen top shiny as new almost immediately!

    I wash it immediately with scotch brite and it will be spearkling when I go back from the office.

    You can sqeeze half a lemon juice on wherever it is more sticky and then clean with a scotch brite.

    More Interesting, once I poured pepsi all over the sticky and shabby areas, then washed with a scotch brite, I had the most sparkling kitchen top that day :) At my friends house, she regularly cleans the toilet with pepsi. she says it is a subsidiary for ACID. Can you imagine how bad pepsi is for the health?
