    Hi Friends,

I'm a civil Engineer working for Infrastrcture companies as part of Project management team (Contracts Administration / Claims managment & Scheduling).

I'm considering to move to Singapore or Malaysia upon employment.
None of my friends are working in these countries.. So seek your opinion on the working culture & how indians will be treated there and required salary for a decent living there.

Pl pour in your experiences & thoughts on this..

    Thank you.

    Pallavi

Dear Pallavi, Its been few months we have moved here.. I dont find any discrimination towards Indians here..
Work wise, talent is respected .. so need not worry about dat.. (I m not working :) )
Regarding salary, 10000 RM is more than sufficient for single..(in KL)

    Not really..
lemme give u a rough calculation (i m still settling down :),other ilites could throw u a good solution, though )

rental expenses - around 1500 RM
    internet/TV - around 150 RM
calling cards/mobile around 50 RM (min)
    other (food,milk,groceries) - 2500 RM
separate amount for visiting places :)

So , if the shift is for better career and for exploring world, you can negotiate..
But if it is for savings ,check de deal , as it wud include the moments missing our dear ones..

    bryanebe,

That is what I'm asking for required salary for living there etc.. when you didnt knew anything there was no need to reply, I think. Sorry for being rude but your reply too sounded rude to me.
