I was actually looking for Gangai Amaran, Venkat Prabhu and Premji Amaran. Gangai Amaran started as a music composer but because of Ilayaraja's popularity at that point of time, Gangai never got much chance as a MD. He then became a film director through a film called Kozhi Koovuthu but his most famous film to date is Karagattakaran. His son Venkat Prabhu too first tried to dabble in singing but didn't get much chance. He then started acting and finally became a film director like his dad through Chennai 600028. Venkat's younger brother Premji too (yes, the same frog-mouth) is actually a musician. He has a number of private music albums under his name and even composed music for a film called Tunichal in 2006 but the film was only released in 2010. His second film as music director, Nenjathai Killathe got released earlier in 2008. He's not famous as a music composer though so his only fame to his name is the supporting roles that he do as an actor in Venkat Prabhu's films.
