Re: Sewing / Tailoring / Stitching : Usha Stitch Magic

    Bindhu,
I have a Janome but it is packed up and kept,I never use it since no time or energy left to use it these days.
    To answer your questions,
    1. I don't know about Stitch Magic, but mine I can use for normal stitching, embroidery, button hole, zip stitching etc(although I have never tried anything except normal tailoring)

    2. No clue about quilting either(i don't remember whether mine has that option),but for stitching denim I have a separate needle and since some fabrics are heavy and since some stitches need a separate foot, you will need to use a separate foot for those.

    3. Picot is the one use for stitching saree edges, dupatta edges etc.

    Hai Vani,

When I approached for Usha Janome, the dealer showed another machine - Ortum and says it has more embroidery stitches (nearly 32) and is better than Usha.

Any suggestions on this... I am still keeping the machine purchase pending...
