Yes I do. The only blessing is the weather. I am not a beach person so there is nothing much to do.

Thank god I found some support. What I was saying was, in Indian society women have no choice. You cannot escape the pattern of MIL, husband demands. In US it is a choice. Stress is a choice in US. In India it is a demand society puts on you and you have to go through it. That is why people want NRI husbands so that they can escape some of it.

For an Indian woman it is the same every where. We are indians wherever we are. I am married, working and have a 4 yr old. My day starts at 4:30 and goes until 10:30. Most days I dont get to sit down and drink my tea. If life was like what you had said, I and many many many woman like me would have walked out long time back. Wherever we are, our values are same and it doesnt change.

Do women in US with kids or without kids face this situation

-- Relatives staying over for months nonstop and giving you couple of days before between each visit. Need to cook for them with a full time job.

-- We dont even have good day care in india where we can leave our kids with a peace of mind for good 8 hrs while at work, since there is no hygiene maintained or kids are just dumped. and our MIL wont even lend a helping hand even if we hire a full time maid to look after kid.
