Cataract Operation Details

    Hi ladies,
    Can anybody tell me which operation is better to undergo if a person has Catarcat.
    My father is of age 55 yeras, he is found to have catarct.Doctor suggested two ways to operate, one method is undergo surgery in the age old method, the other possible way is lasik surgery ( this hardly take 4 to 5 hrs, some lens to add).
    Can anybody please suggest me, which method is good.
    Your experieces might help em to take decision.

    If ur father is ok for Laser one go for it. (ask the doctor how godd it would be for his age)

    We did Laser one for my mom when she was around 45. It lasted for hardly 2 or 3 hrs.. and they discharged on the same day..
    But whatever method you opt it would be very effective for 5 to 10 years...

    the new method laser is very easy and within 3 days you become normal (head both aater 30 days or so)
    as per old method it take time to heal.
