    Hi ,

My baby was born in US . I tried various websites to get the exact birth star , however due to Daylight savings time change, each website is showing a different one.

Is there someone who can calculate the star if I provide the latitude / longitude and time of birth ?

    Thanks for your help

Thanks Mr.malaswami for the response .

Son was born in Atlanta, Georgia , USA.
His birth time is evening 7:22pm on april 22, 2011.
Please note in April the timeZone of Atlanta is -4.00 from GMT.
(This is the confusion for me )

    Latitude , longitude =

    84:35W 33:91N

Websites show me that there was a change from Moolam star to Pooradam (purvaashada ) star around 7:38pm . Now I dont know 7:38pm is based on -4.00 GMT or -5.00 GMT .

Due to this I am unable to find the exact date of his Ayusha Homam (1st birthday) .

I will be much thankful if you can let me know about it

First. You have confused with Lat/Long of the place...
How come 33Deg and 91mins North?? (Is there 91 Mins)

Now, According to world atlas, Atlanta in Georgia, USA, the latitude and longitude is as below
    83 West 23Mins and 17"
    33 North 44Mins and 56"
with Minus(-) 0400 hours West of GMT

Accordingly birth chart is made and I could find out that the birth star is Moolam 4th Quarter
and the Moon's position is : 13 Sag 10' and 35.80", which upto 13Deg20' is Moola star only.

Star Purvashada starts at 19 hours 39 mins and 06 seconds. (Until then it is Moola only)

Birth star according to the birth data given is MOOLA natchatra 4th Quarter only.

Moola Star this year appears on 8-May-2012 and the star starts at 12 hours 12 minutes and 50secs....and will be there for next 24 hours...

Hope now you are cleared of your doubts....

Let my Lord Shiva shower upon your son, all his Health and Wealth in all walks of his life...Our blessings too..

(I tried to attached his birth chart here but could not upload in PDF format. Sorry)

    Regards
    Malaswami

Thank you very much for the explanation and very glad to see your blessings for my son .
I used Google to find the exact co-ordinates for the Hospital where I gave birth. The Google co-ordinates show as 33.913164,-84.353542.
Thats the same I have mentioned in my post.

I appreciate your efforts in finding the star for year 2012. I have another question related to this -
Since the star starts at noon 12 hours on 8th may , and ends on 12hours of 9th may, Should I celebrate the ayusha homam on 9th may ?

Wish you all Goodness in life for helping so many IL members.

Yes, of course Ayush-Homam should be performed before Abijit, and hence it should be on 9th May morning time....
