can i take iron dosatava from india to usa

    My hubby likes to eat dosa made in iron tave. So I thought of getting it to usa. But my question is will it be helpful to bring iron handi ( dosa tava ) there . One of my friends told me that it might not work with the kind of stove we have there . Please suggest me

    You can bring it I'm successfully using it for past 2years .

    If the apartment has gas stove it's easy to use. If it's coil then the shape of Tawa would not fit the coil properly. You can still get it and try it. If it doesn't work you can get Teflon/ nonstick here.

    Hi @harinideep ,

    Welcome to USA .You can get the dosa pan from India. My stove is electrical and looks like induction top, glass. Dosai pan works very well on it.. No problem at all.. Make sure you get the idukki as well to hold it in place ! (just joking!!)

    I even bought my wet grinder and mixie from India.

    Be careful while packing. Do pack all the utensils, kitchen equipment's with clothes and carefully place them in the baggage to avoid them getting damaged while being transported..
