Great ideas sir.. Will follow this up and see how it progresses. I think it came from south India, where people place idols of Gods under the trees, and make them as holy places to worship. My MIL used to have good and bad trees based on religious aspects.
@SGBV Not much idea about big trees, but have you checked for root rot ? @Thyagarajan Sir, if only we treated trees as divinity, the world would be a far better place. And that reminds me of the "amazing race " kind of team activity we had , where in we had to find a living shrine by the river - turned out to be one such tree
This reminds me of dirge of a coconut tree in the post Epitaph Written By A Blithering Nut For Itself Literally my family members & I wept when truck left with logs. This lightning caused terrible pain to us besides loss of TV , radio, refregirator, couple of ceiling fans but my neighbours said because of the tallness of that coconut tree lightning struck on it and that’s how there building and mine were saved. In tamil literature one can find ancestors attached huge importance to special trees and prescribed rules even when & where to grow etc. even fossils of divine trees are protected place by Indian archeology department. In Pondicherry near and around Vakrakali Amman temple fossils of trees available in situ and reported thousands of years old. Breeze through neem tree carries some scents capable of refreshing the skin. Cows sheltered underneath believed to produce improved quality milk.
