    Ladies,
I have a quick question. Is it possible to cut the border of a pattu (Kanchipuram) saree and in it's place attach a border of another color and do embroidary on that?

The saree that i got has a gold zari border which i don't like. I am thinking of cutting of the gold border and instead add a green border and do zardosi, kundan, chamki and gold thread work on that?

Please let me know if this is possible or not? Will this cutting and attaching make the saree look ugly or is there any possibility that the attachement might come off later? Did any one do this kind of stuff?

    Thanks,
    Sabbi

the design and colors will look good ..
but not sure after doing it will it cause separation onear the border where is joined.

I did to a shippon saree and some use there started a fine line in the joining part..

discuss with some designers or boutique where they can give more suggestions
