    How many of you ladies on H4 are waiting for Green Card ?
    Question for ladies having work experience in India:
    How long you have to wait for the card to come in your hand.
    It's been 4 looooooong years break from career after marriage.
    Please girls I am losing hope and getting depressed if this long wait continues.
    Did this happen to you.Please share your advice and experience.

    i m in same boat... i m almost 5yrs of break in my career , now already i m loos my confidence.. feeling insecure.. dependent... its some time horrible feeling...but there is no way except waiting for green card.. one of my friend told me that its 10yrs waiting going on to get green card. so dear if u already waited 4yr then may be u need to wait more.. and its depend upon case... thats wht i know ab green card..

    Me too in same boat...

    I heard that by this year end, US govt allows to H4 dependants to work. but not sure is it true. But i feel it is a good time to plan for kids and take care of them until you get work permit and then you can start working. This way you will fullfill both responsibilities of children and being independant.

    I am worried all the time what happens in interviews if we have loooong break in career.
    hmmmm...10 years is a big number to see :( How to remain positive about getting settled in a job in this waiting time.there's no peace of mind for me if i think about the delays in getting a job in USA.

    I too heard about it.Not sure how helpful the new rule turns out in the end.
    I have a 3 yrs kid now :)
