Hi all, I moved to US after my wedding and I have 6 years of IT experience. I have contacted a consultancy and they have offered me a BA job. I would like to know if there is any career growth in this role. I am pretty confused now because they could not find something related to my profile and this is the nearest one I could possibly get without any relocation. I was a Jr PM in my previous job. Am I stepping down in my career? Could anyone shed some light on this please?

Consultants will probably get either technical role or biz analyst role. First take this role and start your career in USA. BA is good for your career.

My area of expertise was Application packaging and Virtualization. I am a certified PMP and Risk management Professional with ITIL expert level certification.
Thank you all for the valid input. I have learnt it my way that finding a job here without US experience is a little tough and a consultancy is a good way to start with. However I will have to work hard to find the next level because I would be a contractor.
