Hi All .. I am from Chennai and going to have my baby shower function soon. I would like to know what are the ways of cost cutting unwanted things and plan an event well. I am a brahmin, so, I cant avoid spending on bakshanam's n stuff. But, how effectively, I can choose bakshanam and what kind of decoration I can go for, and what kind of return gifts I can go for and what are the items that I can provide in tambulam and what kind of caterer I can go for .. What kind of make up I can go for (includes saree type , jadai , accessories ) .. Where can I get items for cheap rate .. Need such ideas from experienced person... All I am trying is , to reduce the financial burden on my parents ... so planning for cheap and best valaikappu ... I dont want to let them down in front of anyone and at the same time, do something that would be little cost effective for them. Kindly share your thoughts on it.. Regards, Gayathri
