    Hi fnds
    Im hving 3 mth old baby im breast feeding recently im hving cracked nipple its very painful
    Any suggestions plzz to avoid tat and if i feed formula and bm together any problem pzz help me

    If airdrying is slow for you, you can apply calendula cream... but ensure you wash it off well before latching the baby on again... Happy feeding....

    Why dont you try using the nipple shield while Bfing. This will help you.

    Lansinoh cream (pharmaceutical grade lanolin) is a god-send. A little cream goes a long way in soothing and healing cracked nipples. It's safe for baby to ingest. Lanolin is the substance on the sheep's skin that moisturizes and heals very effectively.

    Hi,
    I too had same problem and done the below. You will get cure soon.
    - Apply coconut oil. Drop coconut oil in a tissue paper and place it on your nipple.
    - Take a later of warn water and add one tablespoon of salt. Soak your nipple in it. Do this twice in a day.
    Don't leave nipples dry. Use coconut oil and it's good moisturizer.

    cracked nipples happen when baby latching position is incorrect.Check with your gynec/lactation consultant to get it corrected

    If the pain is sharp shooting stabbing pain, then it might be yeast infection in milk ducts. That can be cured with just few doses of prescription anti fungal pills.
    Lanolin/ coconut oil is great for moisturizing
    Keep your UWs clean, very clean because of all the moisturizing creams that you will put on.
    Clean nipples with only water, after each feeding.

    If you have to switch to formula, no one's business.
    But if you do fully, then you cannot comeback to bf.
    Try partial switching, till you figure things out, so you can come back to bf
