Starting in the bottom left corner and moving either up or right, one square at a time, adding up the numbers along the way, what is the largest sum which can be made once you have reached the top right corner? (picture attached)
i have boxes in three sizes ;large, medium, and small; i put 11 large boxes on a table; i leave some of these boxes empty; in all other boxes put 8 medium boxes; i leave some of these medium boxes empty; and in the other medium boxes put 8(empty)small boxes; now 102 of all the boxes on the table are empty; how many boxes had i used in total?
solution; by putting 8 boxes in a box,the total number of boxes increases by 8--1=7 if we call ''x'' the number of times that 8 boxes have been put in a box,we know that, 11+7x=102 it follows that , ''x''=13; in total 11+13into8= 115 ; 115 boxes have been used
