Bommai golu 2014 in my house for Sankranti

    Hi ILs
    we keep bommala koluvu for sankrathi 3days.... i tried to arrange the theme "CITY" and "VILLAGE".... and "TIRUPATHI malai" and we have a tradition that we pour regi pandulu(Yelanda palam in Tamil) (dont know the name in english) to thier children ..... i dont have child so we pour it to krishna doll...on BOGI

    My Mother keep the golu during navarathri 10 days in chennai....

    some dolls are made by me using soap and cold proclain dough

    1.chairs and table in restaurant (pink color ) made using soap dough
    2. selling fruits and vegetables dolls road side made using cold procelain dough
    3. red color flower made using cold procelain dough and pink color rose using soap dough.. and some flowers made of magazine papers....

    wow really nice...thanks for sharing, village theme with the well, bullock cart seems like a natural scene from village....loved the decoration with flowers around kutti kannan....

    Very nicely presented dear leela . The flowers were beautifully made and can see the effort you have taken . Kudos for the same. I liked the Tirupathi theme.

    Its a news to me that kolu is kept during sankranthi time too. How many days you will have the display of kolu dear ? And which part of India the custom is followed ? Sorry to bother you with my questions .

    Actually in Andrapradesh most of the pepole keep the golu for Sankrathi....
