Good Afternoon Artvani,
I live in UK and have tried my hand in sewing etc. I need to mend my girls clothing, school uniforms and help them with school projects. I dismantle my old shirts, jackets etc with the hope that soon copy and rid myself from buying dull clothing from the shops. Could you suggest any articles, books etc to help me understand the fundamentals of cutting patterns. I am an engineer and approach the subject similar to designing space shuttle. It would be good to learn a more simple approach .

In UK you get ready made patterns for various types of dresses.When i was there I used to stitch shirts and trousers for my husband.I knew the basics of sewing.I used to purchase simplicity patterns.method of sewing is also given there.If you Google search you will get various sites where you get to know the basics
