Did you know that blind people can see dreams?

There are people who are blind at birth and those, who become blind for some reasons. Both of them can see dreams, but their dreams significantly differ from each other. Here’s the reason why.

Those, who are not congenitally blind, they do see dreams. After performing several researches Bertolo et. al. came to the conclusion that blind dreamers can draw the scenes and figures in the dream as well as can sighted people who have their eyes closed while they are drawing. On the basis of this evidence, he concluded that blind people must experience visual imagery in the dream. According to Bertolo visual imagery is possible in blind subjects and that visual imagery does not solely depend on visual perception though one’s eyes.

Individuals blind at birth can have dreams too. They just can’t see them, because they don’t have visual stimuls to affect the brain centers, which interpret vision. But a person perceives the world not only by means of seeing, but also basing on other senses, such as sound, smell, touch. So he can not reproduce the visual pictures in his dreams, but he can have dreams, based on his feelings.
