Blendtech or Vitamix

Don't have blendec, so can't compare. But am very happy with Vitamix ( you will need both wet and dry containers ).

 

I have a Vitamix, which I bought because I had not heard of Blendtech then. I have seen both machines demonstrated recently at Costco, and they are very similar. Some people liked the Blendtech because the jar is smaller and easier to fit on the counter under the cabinets. But Vitamix also makes these jars now.
I use it almost exclusively to make green smoothies, and it works very well. If you have a Preethi mixie, then that may be enough to make dry powders and you may not need the extra dry jar.
I bought mine on Amazon several years ago, but Costco seems to have the best prices now. They are always running specials in the store, and often include extra jars etc. in the price.
