Beware! No Aadhaar(UID) : No refill of cooking gas cylinder

There was a news item in the times of india recently that they may raise the issue of gas cylinder linked with aadhar card from october 2013 onwards. Initially a few areas like Adyar will be covered for issue. The subsidy would be transferred to the bank a/c based on the adhar card. Any confirmation from Ministry?

 

Puduchery is inaugurating aadhar card linking with bank account and LPG today.

 

In Adyar UID issue will start in 2nd wk of June. Those who already have UID number have to update their numbers in the system. Propaganda wil be given in advance by the stat dept. There will be 2 phases. Those who miss the first phase will get 2nd chance during the 2nd phase.It is better to avoid wearing mehndi on palm while attending the finger impressing and iris scan. Those who wear glasses/contact lens will have to remove them for scan.

 

They said it is not mandatory, but then for subsidy you have to enroll. What sort of Government is this?
