Hmmmm .... didn't want to leave this one of your troika unanswered so I thought about it and realized that best gift he gave me was accepting me as I am. Coming from strictly vegetarian orthodox family, whenever we go out, he used to ask if I wanted to have a non-veg dish for myself. I used to have at the beginning but no more and I am happy about it :)

According to me the best gift is the trust, the freedom he gave me, cooking hot dinner daily before I come home from work(his work place is 5 minutes from home, mine is 20 minutes), sharing all the daily chores, doing all the shopping including groceries and clothing ( I hate shopping. In 4 years of marriage I went mostly 5-6 times for shopping), buying things for me even before I ask for anything. Spending plenty full of time with me.

me too same thing.we r like friends,so there is no presurre to cook and serve.if he is free he does and makes for me or vice versa which is alittle rare usually we do all chores together.since men r more healthy more tough chores to him.max we spend 1 hr in kitchen since together ,it is all ok.like staying with a best friend + romance .is all day gift.nothing like flowers or diamonds

The best gift a hubby can give a wife is 1.self respect...
2.Not insulting in front of his family members..
    3.Being a true friend...
    4.The freedom to live..

Without these any gifts given are worthless...

supporting me multiple times whenever i needed to join back work after a break. first when i came to usa, i took a break of 3 years . it is very hard to join back work in IT development after break in usa. not like india, it is hardcore interviewing. my h was working in indian IT company, he supported by coming early every day for 6 months when i studied and clearing my java cert. taking care of my elder daughter as a mom , cooking cleaning and then working at night. since we had 1 car he used to cut office and drove me to interviews. indian companies are not easy to work , they have insulted him a lot during that phase.

second again after my 2nd kid, same this time even harder my boy, he is real pain to deal with . h took care of him when he as 1.6 to 2 till i get new work and settle. this time he was out of indian company and was consulting, due to this bad skipping of work, he got fired lucky i got work. he had to study again and get new asap to avoid h1 cancelling.

sounds like a movie , but true. he the most introvert man i ever seen but the most caring man i could ever get even my dad never did so much. yet he never says anything he just but feels like a kid when i appreciate him for that . i guess men do need to hear that what they do is good .
