I Heard about dosa rice that is specifically sold in Karnataka which is different from sona masoori, idli rice and parboiled rice.I am curious to try it.Is it available in Indian stores? Does it have an alternate name?
Yes I remember my mom calling it as Tiffin rice. We use it for Dosa and to make Akki Rotti flour. I doubt if it’s available here. And I don’t remember the exact texture too
Yes I use regular rice flour, I was thinking of getting the Akki rotti flour that’s made with dosa rice Incase I don’t find dosa rice.
No we don’t get that here. My mom washes the rice , dries it and then takes it to flour machine for making the flour. Rotti made using this flour is so damn tasty
