@shravs3 and @nandinimithun , Some additional ideas: 1. Add 2 tsp sugar to the batter while grinding. This helps to ferment the batter better + helps to get that fantastic golden color. 2. 5 mins before making the dose, add 1 or 2 tsp of plain rice flour to the batter and mix well. This increases the crispiness and stiffness of the dose. 3. Make dose on low to medium heat. Slow cooking helps to get that right texture and color.

Speaking of akki roti here comes my akki. Roti with Andhra avakaya pickle, the lip-smacking pickle sent by my aunt who stays in Hyderabad.
