    INGREDIENTS


    2 cup masoor daal
    1 tsp garlic paste
    1 tsp coriander and green chillie paste
    1 tsp ginger paste
    1/2 tsp garam masala
    1 tsp salt
    5 tbsp oil


    METHOD


    Soak the daal in water and leave overnight and grind to a paste the next day.

    To the daal, add the garlic paste, coriander-green chillie paste, garam masala and salt and mix well.

    In a pan, heat the oil and add the prepared mixture and cook for 15-30 minutes.

    Grease a steel plate all over with oil and add the prepared paste and spread well and leave aside for an hour. Cut this into small pieces and deep-fry in oil and serve with pudhina chatni.
