I work full-time, study for IT certs, and am looking to go to Eng grad school next year.

In free time I am teaching myself to paint.

I always wanted to learn how to make clothes, at least for myself, with a sewing machine.

We have Singer sewing machine that was purchased in early 1990, but used only once or twice.

I tried searching Instagram accounts for sewing ideas, but could find none.

Sewing and stitching is something I'd like to think about. Who knows, perhaps I'll be blessed with nice husband, and children who need clothes for some function, or school play.

    Any advice? Thanks.

    Hi @ChennaiExpress

There are some sticky thread in sewing/tailoring/stitching forum that explains drafting, cutting and stitching with diagram.
Try those threads to learn stitching basic things.

Search online videos also. There are many videos available that teaches basics of stitching, cutting, drafting, ....etc.,... Narrow down your search what do you want to stitch and then proceed.
    All the best.
    Regards.
