    Helo sir,
    just came across ur article...I know some people who give time ,effort & sometimes money just to get appreciation from others...sometimes to genuinely help others..be it at cost of their own private lives..
    I myself have a compulsion within myself to help others if I feel need is genuine..I can go to great lengths to do so..but suprisingly for myself I do not have same compulsion..can u analyse the reason for me..?:idontgetit:

    thanks for the nice words. this piece was written in 2005 when our membership was less than 100. That explains the small number of replies.

    Varalotti Sir,

    You have conveyed a big message in all the small stories you have given. " To relate is to understand" is a wonderful quote. Since most of us don't understand this concept , we pay a big price. Doing somethin gto just satisfy others or to show off will definitely take its toll .
    The example of porcupines is superb!!! When we get close to a person , we get to see the draw backs they have and vice versa. Those are like the thorns that make us move apart. As much as I enjoyed reading this, I definitely got the message.
