Any special education teachers here?

Hi Ladies,

i am thinking of joining special education course here. Any special education teachers here willing to share their experience ? I love this field. Pls share your thoughts and ideas. Any help or guidance would be very much appreciated.

Have you gone and tried to shadow a sp. Ed teacher for a few days? I would highly recommend doing that. Also talk to them about their job.

agree with anmolhai.

you say you "I love this field", have you worked in this capacity before? any exposure to it? it takes a very special person to be a sp. Ed because it is not just a job. if you understand what it takes and gain some perspective, go ahead and all the best.

Hi, go to your nearest school and volunteer there for sometime. In every school there is a special education department. Mix and work with the teachers and students you will get an idea. After that fulfill their requirement become a teacher.

Thanks for for the reply...yes I have seen few special education teachers and spoke to them regarding their job, challenges. Then I started liking it. That's why I am planning to join the course. Anyways, thank you so much.
