Any Interior Designers/ Architects Here?

So today my husband said that I am mad . He said its impossible to always do things gracefully. He feels I am obsessed with aesthetics, cleanliness, organising etc..
When ever I go out I take a lot of time to choose things. He tells me not act like a designer at home.

I tell him most women are like this but he says that only few are like me. Yes , I do take some time and like things to look good. May its ingrained in me because this is what my profession is??

Can some one tell me how common this is..
