Hello ILites,

I am posting my Navarathiri Kolu 2013 pictures and a short video.

A traditional kolu displays only traditional Indian dolls arranged in a hierarchical order with the traditional wooden dolls (Marapachi Bommai) adorning the top most step.

The uniqueness of my kolu display is the mix of old and new, Indian and International (Arabian camel man , Sheikh and his wife etc.) to simply emphasize that we must not only learn to follow our tradition but also respect that of others.

The uniqueness of the kolu park is the emphasis on the value of old is gold (tribals in forest along with animals, artisans making instrument, Canadian Inukshuk statue and totem pole), nature conservation (water falls, battery operated train and greenery) while technologically being advanced (the statue of liberty), keeping up with the tradition( a traditional marriage event).

Hi Anuraags, :thumbsup A delightful visual treat.The Video presentation was superb.
The background music was appealing and took the viewer on a lovely tour step by step ....did not miss a single scene.Great work ...thanks for sharing .
