    Nuss...Glad u could help kids with their education. I think in ur particular situation with ur mom being manipulative it would be in ur best interests to keep these
    financial dealings completely transparent. As in ur sis BIL and ur parents all on the same page regarding where the money came from.
    Expect nothing in return(even repayment of this).

    Thanks, JustAnotherGirl No, I am not expecting any repayment. We are considering it a gift not a loan. I'll think about talking to my sister and BIL. Right now they might feel a little more comfortable thinking that parents are helping them out instead of younger sibling. But I've to minimize or stop these expectations. $10k is a o of money for us, raising two kids (and paying daycare fee) is not cheap.
