Whole milk vitamin D is a good option.
After 12 months, babies are told to switch from BM to whole milk. So whole milk for Annaprasanna is a good option

How old is your LO? Has your pediatrican told you to do solids ?
I did annaprasarnna around 6 months, where pedestrians had told us to start solids.
As it would be the first time feeding solids I had made few items made just in case.
    1. Kheer/akki payasa this is ideal coz the milk and rice will be easy to digest.
    2. Veggie purée ( add some jaggery carrots, beets) my pediatrician recommended my LO to be on purée until my son turned to 8 months. So, I had this as back up. He ate up the purée.
    3. Sooji rava (kesari/sajige)

    Hope this helps.

    Hi shreedalla:hello:
Best regards for your little one starting solids.
I would recommend whole milk. Also try to choose organic brands oly for your kid.
I use HORIZON ORGANIC milk for my son. It comes with vitamin D and omega3.
You can find in Target and walmart easily. ☺️☺️

    Take care

    Hi blindpup10

    Thanks for the info.
I have 5 month old boy, girl twins. We are having annaprasana in their 6 the month.

    My pediatrician is no help.
I don't find his answers any bit helpful :(

    Keep smiling
    Shree

It's not recommended to give 6 month babies cows milk, as it's tough for digestion. Since it's only just a little bit, for the function, organic whole milk can be used. Some of my friends have used formula.

    Hi BhumiBabe

Thanks so much for your suggestion.
As you ladies suggested, I am going with whole milk.
Yes, it's just for Annaprasana, and baby gets just a drop of Paramannam.
After, I will be mixing cereal with formula for daily food.

    Cheers
