...and they lived happily ever after! Part 1

This is short serial story about 5 girls (Archana, Deepika, Keerthana, Ritika and Pooja) in their early to mid twenties and their encounters with 'love'.

Each part of this serial story talks about one girl. So, there are 5 girls with different outlooks on life and love. It is their stories.

Archana (Archie)
Archie is a head turner in college. Her slender built, chirpy behaviour earned her many admirers (some open, some secret). She had set herself high standards about the guy she wanted to be her love. According to her, he had to be extremely handsome, wealthy, humorous, clean relationship history and above all, he should be most sought-after but he should have eyes only for her. Yes, this is what mattered to her in her love! Over the years in college, she wasn't interested in a single guy. She dreamt of that special someone and hoped to see him one day in the near future.

On a Saturday morning, she saw him - the guy of her dreams, the love she always wished for. Vimal was handsome and came to college in an expensive car. She observed him for a few days. He always had a gang of friends around him laughing at his jokes, he became the latest crush for all the girls. He seemed to satisfy all her conditions and she was attracted to him. As luck favoured, he too responded to her advances. They became friends and soon the most-talked about couple in college. Archie was given expensive gifts, entertained with his humour and she felt more and more right about him. She wanted to marry him, have kids with him. One day, she surprised him by taking him to her house to introduce to her family. Her family liked him too.

A few days later, in college, Archie could sense something was wrong. She was getting strange glances, muffled whispers and sly smiles from the people around her. Then her friend, Deepika told her: Vimal was caught red-handed by the Principal while trying to force another guy. He was always interested in guys, only to win a bet to sleep with a guy, he acted like he loved Archie.

Needless to say, Archie was shattered. She was depressed and took to yoga, meditation to become normal again. Her belief about falling in love with all those standards was diluted. About 2 years later, she met Amit. She fell in love, this time genuinely! He was not as rich as Vimal nor very handsome; amit was like a normal guy next door. He had a broken relationship years ago but he truely loved Archie. After 3 years of their courtship and settlement in their careers, they are happily married.
