    i read an interesting note in dinamani kadir dated 31.12.06

    i have translated it in eng for u

    ( a board in a private nursing home in salem, tamilnadu)
    for people who smoke and chew pan here is a ``adhiradi'' offer from
    yamaraja enterprises..
    first prize: death
    second prize: cancer
    third prize: heart problems
    consolation prizes: bronchial, brain and liver problems
    this super offer is available only till u r alive !!!

    thank god the majority of indian women don't smoke and men who do , i hope will quit smoking after seeing this board.. quick death offer ..!!!

    Should be displayed prominently in all clinics and hospitals and most importantly in college premises I guess..hope it brings a change in addicts and checks others from getting into the habit of smoking

    That was a good one Sathya!

    Dear Sathya, that was a really good one and a powerful eye-opener. I remember to have read this in some book where a boy is asked to speak on the advantages of smoking in a debating club.
    He told them the first advantage is that the thief would not dare to enter a smokers house
    And the second major one is that the smoker will not have any problem that comes with ageing.
    When asked to explain he told that since the smoker will be coughing all night the thief will be scared to enter that house.
    Since smoking kills a person early he will not live old enough to ace the problems of ageing.
    How smart!
