    My favorite is an old one:



    I like the song being picturised in a train, fast tune, and how the train seems to go to all the places the song has in it. Singer Pradeep's voice is also unique.

    My other favorite is Shubha Mudgal's recitation of "Bundele har bolon ke muh (Khub ladi mardaani)" (Jhansi wali rani poem by Subhadra Kumari Chauhan. ) She performed/recited it in the Indian Parliament.

    Just enjoyed the lovely songs- each one of them. Independence day and i cannot miss humming the old one - chodo kal ke baatein , kal ki baath purani - from the film Hum hindustani, a gem of a song. There are innumerable numbers few of which have already been listed above. Thanks for all the postings:)
