No, Aloo paratha is not a healthy option , if you are trying to lose weight. One aloo paratha contains more than 250 calories . It contains refined carbohydrates which spikes your blood sugar level , leads to weight gain.

Hello, did a good aloo paratha, make sure you have a nice soft and pliable dough. Mash the potatoes well. You can add finely chopped onions, salt, re chilli, coriander powder and finely chopped fresh coriander to the aloo. Make sure your mashed potatoes are not too soggy, so drain the water off boiled potatoes well. If they are too soggy, they will make the dough also soggy and sticky and will burst out of the dough while rolling. Take an appropriate amount of masala. Not too much as it will again then break out of the dough when rolling and not too less as that will impact the taste. This you can get an idea of by rolling out your paratha 2-3 times. Also after stuffing the dough with potato and sealing it, it's important that you roll the parantha outside in, on the sides. This will ensure that your aloo is well distributed throughout the parantha. If you roll from the centre, your masala will spread out to the edges leaving the centre hard and without any filling. As this apt rolling method is hard to explain, I am linking a video that was helpful to me.

This is in hindi but you can understand by the actions or ask someone for help with the translations.
