Age criteria for admission to LKG in Chennai Schools

Normally in all CBSE schools, 2 years and 6 month completed if the required age for pre-kg and 3 years and 6 month completed is the required age for LKG.

2013 june, your kid can join pre-kg / 2014 june for LKG

 

thank u so much... but i feel its too early... i want to join her pre kg at 3 yrs 3 months completion of age... is it affect in future???

 

Other than SSM, in most of the school, you can join her for pre-kg if she is 3.3 on june.

HI,
My son is 2.9 yrs now (DOB 9.4.2010). Will he be admitted in LKG in June 2013 in a CBSE / MATRIC school? What is the age criteria generally followed in a CBSE / Matric schools?

 

Ur son will be eligible for LKG in MATRIC School.
Except one or two CBSE school most of the school (CBSE) will give only PRE_KG .
I am telling this because my son DOB is 6-4-2010.I got only Pre-kg in all CBSE school except St.Johns Besant Nagar where he was offered LKG
