Affordable Weight Loss That Worked For Me - Does It Work For You? Let's See !!

    Hi Team FitMates,

    I decided to lose 6 kilos of stubborn weight before Christmas. I am a full time working mom of 2 kids and I cannot hit the gym because my priorities are different but not because am lazy. I prefer to spend that extra hour before/after work with kids and family rather than spending in the gym.

    But since I have set Christmas as a deadline to achieve this 6kg loss, the only scope is to work on my food. I made some changes to my food habits and I can see its working out for me.
    I am posting it here for two reasons:

    1. Its affordable
    2. It might help someone else too.

    I am posting my earlier life style and my present life style so it is easier for the readers to understand the difference.

    This was my earlier life style:
    6:30 - wake up
    7:00 - First Coffee - full Cream Milk
    8:00 - 9:00 maybe breakfast but not must have
    9:30 - Second coffee
    11:00 - Snacks - savory - usually murukku/bhujia etc
    12:30 lunch - rice and some curry (veg/non veg) or noodles etc
    3:00 - First Tea
    4:00 - Second tea
    6:00 - snacks - store bought stuff
    7:30 - 8:00 dinner - rice and some curry (veg/non veg) and repeat (if its chicken)
    Water - may be 3 glasses in the whole day
    Walking 30 mins

    My present life style
    6:30 - wake up
    7:00 - Coffee - with light milk and less sugar
    8:00 - 9:00 MUST HAVE breakfast - muesli with nuts
    11:00 - Snacks ( 4-5 starwberries and 1 mandarin)
    12:30 lunch - soup and 2 slices of whole meal bread
    3:00 - Another round of fruits (an apple and a pear)
    4:00 - Tea without sugar and with very little milk
    6:00 - Oat slice
    7:30 - 8:00 dinner - rice and some curry (veg/non veg) and NO repeat even if its chicken
    Water - keep sipping water through out the day
    Walking 30 mins

    Why did I say affordable : I am not buying any expensive vitamins or ultra expensive tropical foods. I am substituting my food with a healthier option.

    My starting weight on 04-Sep-2016 - 66.6 kg
    My weight as on 11-Sep-2016 - 65.5 kg
    My losses - A kilo of weight.
    My gains - well behaved hair, much better skin and feeling lighter than before.
    Other positives - Kids now do not complain to eat fruits because they now see mom eating them too.

    slight changes in food habits help a lot in reducing or shifting the weight loss..way to go..and have a wonderful svelte look through christmas celebs..
