Hi I am an Adopted person who is looking for her Biological Father. He is from South India and all I have to go on is his name. He was married to an American woman in the 1960's and they both gave me up soon after I was born. Please advise me on how to go about looking for him. Thank you, Miss Indian
I have her name. I will have to go to the Indian Embassy. She has refused to give me any pictures of him. Thank you. I will call and see. Will keep you posted. Thank you again, Miss indian
I was born in Edison, New Jersey, USA. His name is Madra S. Gopalakrishnan, his birth year is 1940. He is from South India. Married an American in Connecticut in 1969 had me 9 months later. Please advise me what to do. Thank you,
Quite a hard one to tell any advice.I have no idea at all. But just from the name and year of birth, it is hard. Madras is probably the place where he lives or lived, unsure with the history you have provided. Just that Madras is now called Chennai, which you would be aware and capital of Tamil Nadu state. Is he still in US or has he moved back to India? Unless you convince your biological mother and get further information it is hard to progress further. The name as such is quite common in India. One possibility is for you to approach any immigration service in your country and ask their advice as well. Maybe there is some way for that. If I think of something else I will update you.
Dear MissIndian, Apparently your biological father has migrated to the US and married an American. You already know your dad's name and birth year. If possible, please find the exact date for birth of your biological father. There are three possible areas you could focus on. 1) Please look at marriage registration records by asking the date of marriage of your biological parents. That might give you some possible link including passport information. 2) Please check with USCIS immigration records with date of birth to track down his immigration application that might give some crucial clues. 3) Please check with Indian embassy to track his passport using date of birth and that might give some clues. My best wishes. Viswa
