Admissions in chennai in july for 2012-2013

Dear ils,

We are in us right now and i have a 4 yr old daughter.
We are planning to go to chennai anytime between june and august.
We are planning to join her in ukg when we go there.
We have not yet picked up any applications as we dont have any relatives there.
My question is has anyone tried for an admission so late , that is after the year has started?
Do schools accept new admissions at that stage?
What are the possibilities?

we will be in medavakkam.
regarding schools i have seen the threads regarding schools and think that dav, seeds, vels, etc seem to be good.
But i also fear that as they have more demand it will be more difficult to get admission there.

Medavakkam is a good developing are right now.. In terms of school there are many good ones.
Is you daughter going to LKG now?? Are you looking for CBSE??
There are few international schools also nearby medavakkam...

right now my daughter is going to preschool which is equivalent to lkg.
She will be 4 yrs old by february so i think she will be eligible for ukg.
I have gone through the links u have mentioned and it actually helped a lot for me to get an idea about the present school scenario.
But it has also scared me considering the demand and fact that they are giving applications from sept and admissions closed by feb.
Makes me wonder if i'll get admission in any average school, if not the best or of my choice
