Adjusting salt in cooked rice!!!

    Helloo...
    My Pulao today got mistakenly loaded with salt...
    I know ways we can adjust salt in gravy.. but not in rice..
    Please help me if there are any ways!

    You can saute more vegetables like onion, esp.potato, which can absorb salt to a great extent and add to the pulao, mix and allow to sit for some time in the oven.

    cook another cup or so rice and mix it with the pulao

    Microwave oven? Wont it enhance the salt content?

    Hi Anusha,
    I agree with Kaluputti.. Even I used to saute thinnly sliced onions and sprinkle some lime juice.

    thanks all :) I added 1/4 cup cooked rice and Onions.. It tastes better..
