    Hi,
    Now I see each RPOs are processing differently.
    In Hyderabad, The Fee is INR 1000/-. The form you have to submit is Form-I with 2 copies of PPF for police verification along with Marriage Certificate.
    Here it is almost like applying for a new passport. You will get a police verification even though your passport is less than 5 yrs old and with no changes in address. Here it will take atleast one month and it depends on the volume of application they are recieving that month and it may extend upto 3 months.

    In chennai, The Fee is INR 300/-.
    Forms Needed - Form-2 only along with Marriage Certificate.
    You will recieve the Passport after 10 days. In Chennai, you will get quicker.

    Hi All,

    My wife has made her passport after our marriage but she doesn't have my name in her passport. Now we are going to US and she will go in L2 visa so she needs to update her passport with my name. we are in a hurry so I would like to know if can we go to any passport office and they will endorse my name in one of the pages of her existing passport within one day or this is mandatory that they will issue a new passport.

    how can i add my wife name in my passport.

    Hi

    How can i add my wife name in my passport. i have two kids(baby girl and baby boy).
    they have also didint take passport. we are from india. right now m in dubai.
    could you please help me to explain that

    i got cal from one foreign recruiting agent for job opportunity, they requested to submit my original passport to their office, for visa ... shall i submit...

    What foreign agency is this?
    Please enquire thoroughly before doing so

    the first set of application should require only copy of passport. Then after getting the interview date is when originals are required.

    Check and ask people in your locality before submitting

    Hi,

    You send a scanned copy through email but never your original copy because it would be a great problem to you.

    Hi Sowmya,

    Check this link for the form - https://passport.gov.in/cpv/Forms.htm Or
    You can also buy it from the Regional passport office.

    You need to attach marriage certificate photo copy.Make sure to take the original when you submitt the form.The service charge was Rs300/- 5months back.
    Processing time taken is nearly 10 to 15days.
