I think Surya is better choice.He has better command over Tamil.His accent and voice is good.And I think , to conduct KBC, you would require compering/conducting skills more than knowledge.If we say knowledge is the criteria, then we can have only siddharta Basu , Derek O brein or someone like that as host. Let us wait and watch how it goes.

Madhavan acts in most of the interviews as if he does not know Tamil.And sometimes he shows his hollowness clearly.Who is this Shiva Karthikeyan?

 

Maddy has written dialouges for his movie... sorry I forgot the name of the movie.

 

Madhavan made a return to Hindi films by writing the dialogues and starring in the comedy Ramji Londonwaley, a remake of Nala Damayanthi.

Shivakarthikeyan is a small screen actor.. He also host shows like "Adhu Idhu Yedhu" and "Jodi Season" in Star Vijay..

He is also acting as a hero in "Marina" directed by pasanga fame pandiraj

One should have presence of mind to be a compere. Do you think he has that? Watch any of the reality shows in which he was a part of.

Yes, Siddhartha is unbeatable. I did not say that somebody like him has to conduct..

Maddy knows Tamil very well. Infact his vocabulary is very good. He has written dialogues for one his movie.

He is the ace compere of Vijay TV. He is witty. I did not mean seriously that he should host KBC, just pointed out in a lighter sense that he can conduct better than Surya.

 

Maddy has written dialogues for one of his Tamil movies. Sangeetha was his co-star in that movie. His tamil too good to write dialogue and that was a dialogue movie too

 

Oh.! thats "Evano Oruvan" movie...

In which maddy plays a role of a middle class person working in a bank..

Anushri , I am definitely not a fan of Surya.But I get irked when Maddy speaks Tamil as if he does not know Tamil or as if the language does not have anything to do with him.Infact if you have noticed, he would speak very well in his movies like for example "Kannathil Muthamittal".But in his interviews he tries to give a different impression.And I read somewhere that he was ready to forgo a good Tamil directors movie for the sake of a Hindi movie chance.And he was ready to act for free also it seems.I saw a youtube clip (posted in one of the threads in IL only) where SRK and saif were the comperes and Maddy speaks in Tamil so differently.

No offense Anu .It is just that I get irked when people try to be different than what they are.I do not know when people will realise that one language is not lower than the other.
