Along with education broadmindedness is also needed. There are lot of educated people who still do not give freedom to their better half.

Good that all men are not MCPS.As you rightly said Poet Bharathi espoused the cause of women and advocated greater rights for women and their education.He condemned the SHASTRAS THAT SUPPRESSED WOMENS RIGHTS.

Dear Sindhu,

Even today, many men stand up for women in the society even though the society continues to be patriarchal. Some politicians and others outside of the political parties set a bad precedence by having multiple extra-marital relationships and claim fame only by their ability to govern. In my view, the real men should prove themselves by demonstrating exemplary character and when they do, they will set an example for many other men.

It is a shame to see men trying to touch unknown women traveling by public transport, aged men trying to molest young girls creating permanent scar in their psychological well-being, misbehavior with maids by men living in rich families, foreigners visiting India being treated badly, etc. That is not the true culture and heritage India had for centuries. Traditionally, women has been revered by righteous men and when occasionally men like Ravana or Duryodhana come by, they are eliminated with the divine intervention.

I wish violating men study more about the culture and heritage of India and learn a lesson or two. India has the unique culture of women addressing other men as brother or uncle depending on the age and men addressing other women as sister or mother. I wish India get back to its roots.

Mere formal education does not help . Wecan see that some very well educated people can also be narrow minded . It needs a total personality change . Must be ingrained in child'smind through good examples to watch and follow.

 

Man and woman both needs to be together for a better future. Woman is always there with man from the time he takes birth. And man is also always there with woman by birth. Both live together to make life better. No one wants to survive alone. I feel that before man and woman we all are human beings with our own identity. Its been divided into so many categories like man woman tall small fair ugly Hindu Muslim that we never care about talking about a human. We always categorise before saying anything about anyone. This is the reason behind so many problems.
