Thank you so much for the kind and consoling words. Yes, we can never know what goes on inside their minds and that is what causes so much of pain and anguish. We can only do our best, because we as humans have our limitations. So true.

My grandmother had throat cancer and in her final days she wouldn't recognize anyone, all she would ask for was her elder son(my dad). ..
He used to be with her everyday, but still her thoughts were filled only about my dad, whoever goes she used to tell, tell my son to have his food and go to work. I have seen my dad looking at his mother holding her feeble hand and crying endlessly....
Memory and forgetfulness are the two best gifts a human being has.. ..

And forgetfulness the greater one of them, I believe, Nandini. :)

Wish we all can forget the bitter things that happened or was told to us....
Wish we keep forgetting ourselves everyday to discover a new 'me' ..

Totally agree, Nandini. And that is what we keep trying to learn. To forget what we need to forget. Unfortunately we seem to forget the good things and cling on to the unpleasant memories.

Maybe that's why our memories are filled with unpleasant things, most of the times....
Maybe it's time we start to remember the good things and good people and the rest will fall in place. .
I had an English teacher in my 8th grade and she used to always tell, if you feel it's. Difficult to do and be good, then start pretending that you are good, before you realize you would have become a good person

You are not alone, Satchi. Letting go of loved ones is our hardest task. But it's what we must learn to do. Somehow. *hugs*
