A Poem Without A Title

A darkning sky
In the frosty night
I thought of you
Although you weren't in sight

Sitting by a window
In a rocking chair
I drank from the cup of cocoa
And gulped in the crisp air

I opened a notebook
And started writing about you
With every word that I wrote
My feelings for you grew

I stopped to think
How to describe you best
Because you my dear
Are better than the rest

I thought of using adjectives
But in my heart I knew
That mere words really
Can't do justice to you

Should I go for a simile
And compare you with a knight?
Or should I call you
Whiter than white?

I prayed to God
For an advice
He asked me
To keep it concise

So accepting the advice
Of the God above
I decided to call you
Love.
