    Dear Jayasala,

It was really nice to read your post. I felt very sad to read about parents who gave up their child.

I am sure there was someone out there waiting to take care of this child in spite of the disabilities.

    Dr. Lakshmiprada is an inspiration.

I have a friend. She has 2 adopted children. Both girls. The second child was about 8 months old when she adopted her. But as days went by they realized that the child was not normal and had some issues. Many advised her to return the baby. But she refused. Her logic was if she had given birth to this child, would people advice her to give away the baby. Today that child is 13 years old and goes to school and is doing well. She needs intensive therapy. I feel very happy when i see the children and her.

I Salute the women who have such strength and courage to fight all odds to make something out of their children and not make the little ones feel let down.

    Happy womens day to you.

    Regards
    Uma

    hello Jayasala,

I wanted to inform you that my angel God mother Ganga Srinivasan left to heaven on March 12th after brief struggle with sickness. I am in the process of doing something for her.
I have written a book "Delicate darlings" which is with publisher now. Hoping for a launch by end of this year. It is collection of stories from my real life experiences and child's perspective about parenting.
My mother was a great painting artist and has specialized in several art forms. Currently I am working on a project to promote her art work.
