It was a warm day at the park. Two kids came to the park with their parents. They started playing together. Moms started talking with each other. Kids held their hands on the merry go round. Moms exchanged hellos with handshakes. Kids slid together on the slides. Moms connected with similarities in their own lives. Kids jumped from the monkey bars. Moms shared their jumps in career and education. Kids went on the merry-go-round. Moms merrily shared their happy moments.

Kids ran towards the swing. one caused the other to trip and fall when grabbing the swing. One mom’s untimely words caused hurt in other moms heart. Taken aback other mom left the place to calm herself down While the kid who caused the hurt reached out to the crying child. After sometime teary eyed mom came back while hurt child started smiling with other kids care.

As both had to leave they hugged each other and made a play date again forgetting the fall. Whereas the mom who walked away came back calm the mom who felt offended didn’t say a word. As they left the park with the kids, kids where smiling while the moms weren’t. No handshake no hugs no byes between moms while kids hugged and said byes waving their hands happily.

While in the life’s playground why not adults be like kids forgetting the hurt and just keeping the smiles at heart. Instead they forget the laughter they shared and carry the hurt in them (including myself). It will be easy if we are children at heart always.

Very true dear. Kids forget everything but adults don't forget and forgive. I also always think why not be always kids.

Your narration brought me the scene in front of me. Very well narrated.

    Very true @jskls
If only people practice more forgiveness and "move on" life will be less complicated, less cluttered.
In Tamil (maybe in other languages too) they say we should take life with "yadhaartham" and move on with "vivekam".

This is the universal behaviour of adults. Sadly, this points a finger at our lack of problem solving skills. Even if one adult wishes to forgive, forget and move on, unless the other adult is equally mature the situation cannot be saved! Men are better than women when it comes to such issues.

Wish we never lose the innocence when we are grown-ups too. Life and the world, rosy and easy then. : )

True Geetha. Sometimes some ask for forgiveness to save the relationship even if They are not wrong but other thinks that the one who is apologizing made a mistake. Thanks for sharing your views
