Hi, By this time, you should have introduced all kinds of fruits and veggies to the baby. Non-vegetarian foods and Eggs - can be done after 12 months. But start giving one veg/fruit per week. Just steam it, mash it, cool it - watch for hotspots. Give it to the baby. Give the same for one week. The next week start another veg/fruit
yes, u can ask them to start with mashed potatoes, carrots and specifically 1 veg./fruit per week. also u can tell them to start giving rice (finely mashed) adding carrots and potatoes to it with little salt n ghee. also it is the right time to start kanji (raagi-2 spoons per day per time)... also ceralac is easily available in shops with different flavours (month wise)....try themmm...

When my DS was 7 months old, my Paed advised to me to start giving variety of foods like fruit juices, veggie soups, bread and milk, oats with fruits like banana etc, apart from milk. He suggested that to encourage the baby chewing, you can start introducing all adult foods one at a time in a form the baby likes (mashed / sweetened slightly etc).
