hi All It is always better to have your weekly menu, so it is easier to cook. I am giving here 3 weeks Menu for (BLD). Generally i make 1 week plan, depending on what vegetables is available in fridge. here i have given 3 weeks menu, for vareity till 3 weeks. MY DH doesnt like cereals, so i have to cook different brkfst for him everyday. (Exceptions on weekends, since i dont want to end up in kitchen whole day) Also for Dabba/Lunch (in office) he only likes Roti /Sabji. although being a south indian, i have been brought up in mumbai, so i have included north indian dishes for lunch and brkfst. Dinner recipes are mostly typical south indian, since for lunch/tiffin my DH take Roti/Sabji. Dabba/Tiffin Sabji, menu mostly north indian style i cook (with onion and tomatoes and garam masala) On weekends, dinner we eat light, soups/ salads, or sometime, only fruits. I just thought to post it, some of you may find it useful. you can change or add ur recipe to this plan.

hi latha Tondli is basically Kovakai in Tamil, in north they call tindli, or tinda. TOndli (marathi word) recipe cut round or long as you like cut 1 onion. First temper with oil, mustard and zeera, put chopped onion, let it become brown, add salt, turmeric, garam masala powder. Add washed tondli in it and let it cook. AFter it is cooked, u can add ground nut powder or KARI PODI . it blends well and have good taste. KARI PODI is a powder which we can use in lot of vegetables, to blend it well. 1 cu p Dhaniya 1 cup Udid dal 1/2 cup Sesame seed ( i add this also) Roas all above ingredients separately and grind dry in mixie and keep it in air tight container. U can use it as and when u require, for Brinjal, Gavar (kotavarangai). P.S. : first grind dhaniya and udid dal, and then add sesame seed, bcoz it gives oil, and put together, then udid dal will not grind properly. GRAPE RAITA Cut the red grapes in small sizes. 1 cup curd, make it smooth Pinch of salt 1/2 teaspoon sugar Pinch of Cumin and pepper powder Pinch of red chilly powder. Mix all above together, and serve, it taste real yummy.
