3 Month weight loss buddy to lose 10 kgs

    I don't eat rice at all... once in a week I think.
    I Eat 2-3 types of fruits everyday.
    I should do exercise consistantly.
    That's my goal.

    I would like to join too :)

    My goal is at least 3kgs and 1kg per month.


    1)Do regular exercise
    2)ear more fruits and frequent meals
    3)avoid rice and all the weight loss suggestions on the IL.

    but I have thyroid,that's the reason I feel,it's getting tough on me to loose weight.But still wanted to fight to loose 10pounds this year.

    I would really appropriate,is there any tips to loose weight with thyroid.Last year I reduced 10pounds (may be that's the easy one to loose initial weight) and just maintaining it this year and didn't see any improvement in my weight loss even though been doing all good things :-(

    Dear All,

    Welcome...

    I would suggest why don't we share our daily problems/challenges in maintaing our schedules... that would help others to benefit. Please share even a minute thing which you did to overcome a desire to eat something...or to go for that extra round when walking...something similar....And also share our WL on a weekly basis.

    Any other tips in general to move ahead in our target. Also please share your difficult times when we had to give in for our temptations and the rectification process...so everybody beniefits on the same....

    Let me start with myself.....

    Generally my office closes by 6 and I travel and reach home within 7. Those are the times my hunger pangs hit me the most...I would not have any patience to wait to cook/do something for myself and would pop whatever was available..though try to be in low cal but some days would be very difficult. Hence to over come this I started string digestive biscuits at home and have 2 of the same or any fruits like grapes, sapota, even banana.. Though yesterday I fell for the same as I had to go out after office and I knew I would reach home late so had a plate of masala puris :-( I know it was not right but could not get anything healthy too but skipped my dinner and replace with black seedless grapes... Hope it balances :-/

    so starting my journey with u....
    Going to skip more rice and eat fruits
    Can anyone suggest me whether morning exercise is ok or need to do also in the eve?

    Wow..nice to see you all here ladies. I hope this is a successful journey for all of us..
    I decided this weekend I'll go all out and eat what ever I want to..lol
    I know...I know..Its just that I've been restricting myself for long now and this is to get all out..all the cravings.
    Monday will be my first day..I plan to start fresh and make all the changes..

    Hi Frnz count me too..

    Even i wanted to reduce around 9kgs in 3 months. My diet plan which i am planning to follow is


    6.30 : warm water with honey + lemon
    7.45 : Green Tea
    8.00 : 30 min walk in the house or some rounds of surya namaskar
    9.00 : 4 Idlies/2 dosa/a small bowl upma (Usually i take 6 idlies or 3 dosa)
    11.30 : a sandwich with a cup of tea
    2.30 : a cup of rice,dal or sabzi
    4.30 : 30 min of walk in the park
    5.30 : a cup of Green tea
    7.30 : 2 roti with sabzi.


    please suggest me if any changes required

    i wake up at 6am
    by 6.30 - 6.45 i leave to the Gym.
    1.5 hr of work out there
    they infact follow most of the exercises from Jillian Micheals.
    then few of the yoga asanas - butterfly pose etc..
    then 20 mins each of cycle, threadmill and Elliptical
    few machines like for the legs, hands etc.
    wall pushups etc.

    After that I come home and around 9am first thing is oats porridge. (with salt)


    Let me share the diet chart that my nutritionist gave me in the next post..

    I met the nutritionist gave me. As Iam diabetic.. she prepared that keeping it in mind..

    Here it is :

    I wake up at 6.45am
    Go to gym at 7.30.

    So around 7am -
    - Drink jeera water or soaked methi water alternatively. It improves the digestion and takes care of sugar level. Avoids constipation.

    Gym between 7.30am to 9am

    9.30 am - BF
    - 2 - 3 idli / 2 dosa / 2 chappathi/ 1 serving of upuma.. Any kind of low fat BF
    - if not go for 2 wheat bread toasts and tea
    - oats proridge
    - ragi porridge etc.

    11.30 am - 1 glass butter milk / a fruit / a fist ful of nuts - preferably
    2 dates, 2 walnut, 2 badam (no cashews)

    2.30pm Lunch:
    1 serving of rice with dal + vegetable sabji + curd (must) / 2 - 3 chappathi's with vegetables
    NOn veg - max is 2 pieces.
    No sea food except for grilled / baked fish

    A salad is a must. It should be a raw veg salad like carrot/ cucumber/ sprouts etc.

    5pm
    Digestive buscuits - 2
    1 cup of tea / 2 toasts of wheat bread with tea.

    7.30pm Dinner
    - 2 - 3 chappathis with veg / 1 ragi ball
    salad is a must

    9pm - a fruit or 1 cup of skimmed milk


    - NOTE -
    A salad is a must
    BF is a must - Never skip breakfast
    Dinner - AVOID RICE AND NON VEG
